Habit. Annual.
Culms erect, stature slender to delicate, 20 cm tall, 3 -noded. Ligule an
eciliate membrane, 1.5–5 mm long, lacerate, acute or acuminate. Leaf-blades
flat or conduplicate, 6 cm long, 0.4–1.8 mm wide.
Inflorescence. Inflorescence
compound, a panicle. Panicle 2–6(–10) cm long.
Spikelets.
Fertile spikelets 1-flowered, comprising 1 fertile floret(s), 2–3.5 mm long.
Florets.
Fertile lemma 2–2.5 mm long. Lemma surface indumented. Lemma apex erose or
dentate, muticous or awned. Median (principal) awn dorsal. Palea present.

Notes. Endemic. In
highland areas of N.S.W. S from Cooma and Vic. Occasional in alpine and
