Habit. Annual
or ephemeral. Stolons absent. Culms erect or geniculately ascending, 8–40 cm
tall. Mid-culm internodes glabrous. Mid-culm nodes glabrous. Lateral branches
simple. Leaf-sheaths glabrous on surface. Ligule an eciliate membrane, 0.5 mm
long. Leaf-blades 1.5–3 cm long, 1–1.5 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface indumented.
Inflorescence.
Inflorescence subdigitate, with spicate branches.
Spikelets.
Fertile spikelets many flowered, with at least 2 fertile florets, comprising 1
fertile floret(s), with diminished florets at the apex, ovate, laterally
compressed, 2.5–3.5 mm long.

dissimilar. Lower glume lanceolate, coriaceous, keeled, 1-keeled, 1 -nerved.
Upper glume oblong, 2.5–3 mm long, coriaceous, keeled, 1-keeled, 1 -nerved.
