Recorded
from northern N.T., around the Gulf of Carpentaria
to the E of Cape York Penin., Qld. Found with Eucalyptus, Melaleuca,
Callitris
and Pandanus in woodlands, shrublands and heathlands,
often in depressions and seasonal swamps, in sandy lateritic, loamy, brown or
grey clay soils, sometimes with granite.
